I was wiped out on my bike today...pothole the size of a dinner plate and four inches deep. Hit with my wheel and lost control. A local neighbour told me the city was out looking at it last week. Obviously not a danger to cars...but to cyclists? I'm lucky I'm not in hospital. This has to change. Why not hit with orange spray paint? I would have seen in and saved myself a lot of pain. If a city crew really did look at this last week...outright negligence for not marking it as a danger.

It's on the West side of the street. Cyclists heading south be aware. This hole can take you and your bike out.

The city opened up the sidewalk in October of 2013. The cone regularly goes missing. The hole is an ankle breaker. Why does it take the city over six months to finish a sidewalk repair?

The residents of 54 Turner continue to flout the city of Toronto's bylaws. Last winter, it was the lack of snow clearing on the public sidewalk and before that it was anything from sofas to bags of junk left on City Property.
Last evening, I discovered untagged garbage bags dumped on the sidewalk. The contents of the bags...who knows but it appears to be some kind of sluggy liquid matter. I'm afraid to look. The point is, it's not garbage day and it just shouldn't be put out on the sidewalk.
These people just don't get it. I've had to complain close to half a dozen times. 99% of Toronto's residents understand the bylaws. These people should be fined.
Please call if you have any questions. Please see attached photos.

Treacherous sidewalk. Home owners don't clear snow/ice. Elderly neighbours are forced to choose between slipping on ice or getting hit by a car when walking on road. This is the only stretch of sidewalk that hasn't been cleared between Christie and Alberta...almost a kilometre of sidewalk. A city bylaw requires home owners to keep the sidewalk clear. These people clear their driveway but not the sidewalk...nice!
